Marbling Things

Marbling everything, as far as I’m concerned. What’s more elegant that marble? So let’s marble everything! No, not to get carried away. But Katie from Running With A Glue Gun has got this figured out.

Here’s a sample of her work and then go visit her site for more info

Marbling Things

I haven’t done any marbling in a DIY project for years. The last time I did a marbling project was probably when I was in my paper making / scrapbooking phase. I remember buying a disposable cake tray then filling it up with water, then adding a little bit of liquid soap, then some paint or maybe nail polish and finally pressing my paper into the concoction.

Marbling has sure come a long way since then 😉
How to: Marble Coasters
My favorite types of marbling projects are the ones which involve clay. I think the set of coasters above are so pretty and with all the different colors of clay out there, the marbling possibilities are pretty endless.
All in all, I’m a fan of the marbling trend. I think its a great way to add a pop of color to your space, especially if your someone who is afraid of color. Personally, I would like to see someone try to make some marbleize pillows or somehow decorate a piece of furniture with a ”fake” marbling technique.
Hey, maybe I can do that….
What are your thoughts? Do like this trend or are you not a fan?
